These two options are both great airplane beds. I have used them both and I like them for different reasons.

Option 1: airplane inflatable footrest

Inflatable footrest for airplane

Pros:

  • Permitted on most air lines
  • Stays in place the whole flight
  • Doesn’t take long to set up
  • Affordable
  • Packs easily and fits in its little bag

Cons:

  • A little larger than the alternative option (see below)
  • Doesn’t leave room for storage under feet

Option 2: airplane toddler hammock bed

Airplane toddler bed

Pros

  • Stores even smaller than the other.
  • Leaves space underneath where you can put your child’s things
  • Easy to remove if you need to get out of the row past the toddler
  • Allowed on most air lines

Cons

  • Slides around a little on the seat, causing a slack in the hammock area
  • Learning curve to set up, as it isn’t that easy to attach to the tray table nor the seatbelt.

Both options are meant to be stored for takeoff and landing as per airline rules. Both options worked for my kids to get sleep and to avoid them kicking or pushing on the seat in front of them. Both are fairly affordable, good quality and can be purchased on Amazon.

Conclusion

I recommend them both! You get to choose which option works best for you!
